The Video link following this Word given from the Lord warns us of trusting the wrong messengers, false doctrine and false teachers, soothsayers and what I call "twisted thinkers"... such as a certain teaching says if they don't say Jesus in the water then you are not Baptized right, but there are several people in the world with this same name, several in England are called "Lord" and a few have even said they themselves are "Christ", so what really says it's done in Jesus name according to the Bible? The fact that you follow the Lord Jesus Christ's instruction to be Baptized in answer to The Son of God, accepting Him as Savior and Lord of your Life. It is written: Colossians 3:17
Think of Baptism as "the Engagement Ring of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.17
Does this mean everything we do or say we must say "Jesus" before we do anything and before we say anything? No. If we have accepted Him and we follow Him, we represent Him, Baptized into His Spirit, His name, under His Blood, and etc. this is what differentiates what we are doing from any other name, or any other person. We walk in the Spirit, We are His children and God is Our Heavenly Father so we are the called according to His name. Everything a Christian does is a reflection of Christ, we either give His name Honor or Dishonor by the things we say and do.
The real topic though of discussion here is not just false teachers in religious organizations but giving heed to false doctrine, and evil spirits that pose as innocent "helpers of the faith". I can think of an example of such things like a program that asks a prominent figure "--------, Fix My Life". Really only following Jesus can do that, of course the world has other methods, but the church world has One, although we are also advised to use the Office of the Physician" but let's not solely depend only on them while by Christ's stripes we are healed.Years ago I was approached several times by young women suggesting I
So many well-meaning mis-led "spiritual-advisors" don't realize they are God's competition, they are on "the other side", and ok so what they do for you can work, but FAITH is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things Not Seen.
Hebrews 11:1
We sin when we try to get the answers about our future or try to fix our lives by turning to "the dead", The Bible calls those who are seers outside of Christ "dead". Isaiah 8:19
Some may ask, "how will we know which ones are sent from God?" They wont demand money to serve you, they are a part of a Christian fellowship, they are recognized and respected by a Christian organization, live according to God's standards and are known-gifted of God and can be ordained to use their gift to edify and build up the Kingdom of God, they don't "fly solo" but respect and honor the way of the Lord.
God said He would raise up a Prophet of your own people and him ye shall hear. Acts 7:37 This is the order of God, and protocol.
Deuteronomy 18
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
