DEFILEMENT, AVOID IT AND LIVE !!!

DEFILED!  What Is it? Is it Important in the 21st century? Is it Important to God? Are we still expected to Regard Holiness and be "Undefiled"?  We will check the Scriptures...

First,... what is the definition of "Defile",... according to "thefreedictionary.com" it is
"To make filthy or dirty; pollute: defile a river with sewage. 2. To debase the pureness or excellence of; corrupt: a country landscape that was defiled by urban sprawl. 3. To profane ..."

In the Book of Genesis chapter 34 it tells us of a son of Jacob who made war with a city because his virgin sister Dinah was made defiled because men of that city laid with her. She was defiled in her body for her purity being taken without a husband. This is still possible today when women commit fornication by choice or otherwise. Defilement forfeits eligibility to marry. The following Scriptures declare plainly that the defilement of the flesh is punishable even to eternal hellfire, there are earthly and eternal consequences. We have to be mindful in our lives to not commit the things which the Lord despises and calls them acts of 'Defiling the Temple of God which is your body in which the Holy Spirit is to dwell'.

Matthew 15:18-20

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:  20These are the things which defile a man:

                Mark 7:23

  20And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

                                  1st Corinthians 3:16-19

16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

                                      1 Timothy 1:10

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

                                            Jude 1:8

7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.   Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Now judge in yourselves in light of these scriptures, is it okay in these days that we commit acts that defile our flesh? Can we expect to see God, and enter Heaven If we do? or are we destined for eternal punishment for it?
