HOW NEW ARE YOU, NEW CREATURE ?

It is written: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 KJV "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

In hearing responses to this scripture, there have been numerous  things people apply this scripture to. Many say this scripture supports remarriage, old marriages ending in divorce are now expunged and in the sea of forgetfulness in the sight of God. Others say they never have to go to those they wronged once they accept Christ, they can forget all the wrong they've done to others, yet others believe they should Not have to be convicted of breaking the law, committing crimes, even murder, assault, grand theft etc.  We are a New Creature and everything, even our bodies are become New, Right?

Wrong!  Our body-parts are the same. A one-legged new Christian is still One-legged, etc. By biblical standards, A marriagable woman requires a certain intact body. Just as we cannot reenter our Mother's womb to become "Born Again" (as the Bible requires), we cannot expect the Flesh to be brand  new immediately upon accepting Christ as Savior, by confessing our sins, and repenting of them.  The time will come for the flesh of Christians to be transformed into an incorruptible body when Jesus returns for the Ready-Christians, but being baptized into Christ is by "His Spirit" (and Water representing being covered by His Blood)  The New Creature is now Cleansed, old sins, practices, mindsets, lusts, and ignorance are passed away....(at least it should be) Once we walk into Serving Christ we begin to walk away from All the things that nailed Him to the Cross, in this we are brand new.

Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Ephesians 4:23

“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

Titus 3:5

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

Let us be reminded that when the Lord moved upon man by the Holy Spirit to write unto us His Words for our living, It was written to common man, not just Saints and believers, but Mankind. The order was to "Go into All the World and Teach All Nations to observe All things whatsoever I have commanded you"

All People In the World

Therefore this Word is for all Human beings everywhere, believers and yet to believe, including the Words the Lord gave for our bodies, and marriage. In Matthew 5:31  Jesus gives guidelines that require us to marry, stating even before Moses it hadn't changed.
(approx. 1,576 years betw Moses and Jesus and His Word unchanged)  Paul the Apostle also gave the guidelines in 1st Corinthians ch7  https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1-Corinthians-Chapter-7/ When the Law is broken in this life there is penalty to pay in this life, we can all be cleansed and If we Love the Lord we choose to stay clean, If we Sin, (yes, the Bible says "IF" we Sin we go to Jesus for cleansing, He is the only propitiation (remedy)  for our sins. We "Can" live Holy!  Jesus paid for our sins which would result in eternal damnation, but your corporal and temporal sins though you may express sorrow and receive forgiveness, a jury or person may in this life still cause you to be penalized for it. In order to Discipline or Chastise a new or established Christian we should appreciate a spanking to deter further error and hellfire. Keep and use the Armor of Salvation  Armor of God  ...Keep your sleeves rolled up in the good fight of faith. It's only hard if you really don't want to do it. If you get weak, try again, as many times as it takes til Jesus Returns.  The Lord appreciates sincere effort, don't fret, He Is worth it!

We can't think that we can rewrite the words The Lord have spoken simply because times have changed, (yes and changed for the worse) to fit our weaknesses. [Many have said "if we have to do all that Jesus said, nobody would go to heaven"]  People are already there praying for us with Jesus. Heaven can be filled right now just from the graveyard. God never changes, Holiness cannot be modified. Some things we forfeit ever having because we were in sin, but we can still become clean, saved, whole, full of joy and make a difference, being a good example of God's Love and Salvation.

Amen?
