HOW NEW ARE YOU, NEW CREATURE ?

It is written: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 KJV "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

In hearing responses to this scripture, there have been numerous  things people apply this scripture to. Many say this scripture supports remarriage, old marriages ending in divorce are now expunged and in the sea of forgetfulness in the sight of God. Others say they never have to go to those they wronged once they accept Christ, they can forget all the wrong they've done to others, yet others believe they should Not have to be convicted of breaking the law, committing crimes, even murder, assault, grand theft etc.  We are a New Creature and everything, even our bodies are become New, Right?

Wrong!  Our body-parts are the same. A one-legged new Christian is still One-legged, etc. By biblical standards, A marriagable woman requires a certain intact body. Just as we cannot reenter our Mother's womb to become "Born Again" (as the Bible requires), we cannot expect the Flesh to be brand  new immediately upon accepting Christ as Savior, by confessing our sins, and repenting of them.  The time will come for the flesh of Christians to be transformed into an incorruptible body when Jesus returns for the Ready-Christians, but being baptized into Christ is by "His Spirit" (and Water representing being covered by His Blood)  The New Creature is now Cleansed, old sins, practices, mindsets, lusts, and ignorance are passed away....(at least it should be) Once we walk into Serving Christ we begin to walk away from All the things that nailed Him to the Cross, in this we are brand new.

Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Ephesians 4:23

“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

Titus 3:5

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

EVER WONDERED ABOUT THE 7 Seals, 7 TRUMPETS, 7 BOWLS?

The Book of Revelation talks about 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and 7 Bowls.  There are many who believe these events all take place separate from each other however when I read Revelation Chapter 8 Through Chapter 16, it all sounds like a process that begins with each of the 7 events where 1st a Seal is broken, then a Trumpet sounds ( in heaven by an Angel) and then a corresponding Bowl is poured out full of woe, With Christ's return at the "Last Trumpet" sound
(1st Cor. 15)        https://www.openbible.info/topics/the_last_trump

Consider for yourself, reading Revelation Prayerfully....more importantly, be ready to meet the Lord everyday, tomorrow is not promised to any of us.  (more to come on this topic...)

ON JUDGING CHRISTIANS

I used to do it too, see a "so-called Christian" rant, and rave in traffic, or go off on a cashier and threaten to "put the Holy Ghost on a shelf and climb across the counter and...💥 ..."  I said, "she's not saved nor has the Holy Ghost"...The Lord reminded me of how many times Israel went back, complained, served idols, committed other sins and the Lord says  He is "married to the backslider", and how He will never give up on His people, He wooed Israel back, sometimes with chastisement and other times with a proverbial kiss.  The Lord expects us to have the same mercy and grace with His people as He has.

It appears to me as we are uncut diamonds in the beginning, and may slip out of his hands (will) He being the Stone-Cutter, He's making us, it may not feel good at times when He's cutting us into the shape He wants us to be. He keeps picking us up and cutting again, as many times as we keep getting away. He's the author and finisher of Our Faith, He never fails, He will always get what He said.  Soon we begin to take shape, we comply, we let Him finish the work He began in us, we've learned, We stay in His hand, We can only fall out of His hand for so long before our time is up, and we see the years pass us by quickly and so we stand still and He completes us, and polishes us, and then We sparkle and are an example to others about to go through a similar process.

Let's pray for one another, have patience with each other, Jesus never writes us off till the day of redemption once we refused to return to Him, and those who've kept the faith receive the reward. I sometimes may dress someone (in my mind) before the Lord has ever had a chance to first cleanse them (save and baptize them)  Respectful dress being a near obsession of mine (anti-leggings or anti-bikini on a public beach etc. but I'm still learning too, we exchange each other's strengths and help each other's weaknesses.

The unfinished Christian is still a Child of God, but oh the risk of staying out of His hand when we don't know these days if that Sweet Chariot will Swing Low for us today or tonight and we are out of time and still out of His will.  We only have so long in these bodies, only one chance to let God have His way before it's too late. Love One Another, have Patience with each other, Pray for one another, we are All a Precious Stone in The Lord's hand.
